Cheesy Cartoon Folks
Written by travel on October 30, 2009 – 4:42 amNow that you’ve had one of your family days out this year at the recent cheese festival in Cardiff, what famous cartoon characters would you expect to see there if of course they were real people?
Wallace from the popular Wallace and Gromit
Everyone must have heard of this British toon. This toon/clay inventor has big ears to match his big love for cheese. The cheese of choice for Wallace is of course Wensleydale.Of course the first time we laid eyes on the pair was way back in 1989 in the film A Grand Day Out in which the pair actually travel to the moon as they realise they have run out of cheese. Gromit, being the smarter of the two would have found it easier to go to the shops but of course he cannot talk being a dog (duh).
The brilliant laughing cow
Simply here because it has become a huge world wide sensation and is actually the oldest on the list as the original drawing for the product was drawn by the creator of the product in 1924 and was the first cheese product to actually be branded in France.
Jerry from the famous Tom and Jerry
This one is easily the most famous and the love of cheese comes simple as he is a mouse. Surely everyone knows what this cartoon is all about. The hatred that a cat and mouse have for eachother is shown with the never ending battle Tom and Jerry have. Back in the days these cartoons used to contain comic violence but with the way the world is now have since been toned down by quite a lot in recent years.
So if you fancy yourself a bit of cheese why not go to a cheese festival and try a variety of different forms of cheese as well as wines, ciders and beers. Family holidays UK can be changed to suit your festival needs from cheese to music.
